The Living Museum: Traditional Turkish Architecture
Spring 2024

Traditional Turkish architecture encompasses a rich variety of
styles and elements, reflecting the country’s diverse history and cultural influences. The project adapts these features to suit in a larger scale while retaining their traditional benefits such as central communal spaces for interaction, flexible room usage, courtyards and verandas for semi-public areas. It reimages the community within the suburban landscape, acknowledging the evolving nature of social interactions and spatial dynamics. It promotes collective spaces that foster shared experiences and solidarity among both locals and visitors.
